DVM - Design Verification Module
|
The Load column allows you to specify the subcircuit definition and parameters for a DVM load. The Load column can be blank.
The following table describes the acceptable Load configurations.
Function | Description |
Dc() | Configures a DC load with a specified current. |
Res() | Configures a Resistive Load with the specified load resistance. |
IRes() | With Full Power Assist, configures a resistor with the resistance calculated from the nominal output voltage and the specified DC current. |
Ramp() | Configures a PWL source with the specified current levels.
Note: If the source is a managed load, the starting current will be modeled as a resistive load while the PWL current source models the ramp. If the source is not a managed load, only the PWL current source is used to model the load. |
RampPure() | Configures a PWL source with the specified current levels. |
Pulse() | Configures a PWL source with the specified current levels.
Note: If the source is a managed load, the starting current will be modeled as a resistive load while the PWL current source models the pulse. This is the Pulse Load - Single Current Pulse subcircuit. If the source is not a managed load, only the PWL current source is used to model the load, using the Pulse Load - Single Pure Current Pulse. |
PulsePure() | Configures a PWL source with the specified current levels. |
Saw() | Configures a sawtooth source with the specified parameters. |
Squ() | Configures a square-wave source with the specified parameters. |
Tri() | Configures a triangle wave source with the specified parameters. |
Pul() | Configures a pulse source with the specified parameters. |
PulZRFT() | Configures a zero rise and fall time pulse source with the specified parameters. |
Sin() | Configures a sinusoidal source with the specified parameters. |
Cos() | Configures a cosinusoidal source with the specified parameters. |
Exp() | Configures an single current pulse with exponential decay with the specified parameters. |
SubCkt() | Configures the subcircuit definition to use a custom circuit that you designed. |
Load() | Configures the subcircuit to use
the specified DC current without changing the subcircuit definition.
Note: If REF is a managed load, DVM will automatically configure the load resistance to the appropriate value. Most often used with Full Power Assist to change output current levels without overriding configuration changes resulting from the use of an Analysis/Objective specification. |
To configure managed loads, follow these steps:
Subcircuit definitions for the various load configurations are defined in the Output Load Subcircuits topic.
